Exhibition 2026:
Christian Dior : Memories of Childhood
Christian Dior’s early years in Granville, at the start of the 20th century, inspired his future creations in fashion, perfume and interior design. It all began at the family estate, Les Rhumbs, where the tranquillity of the garden and the view overlooking the sea sparked his imagination. Later, in the seaside resort, the young man revelled in the excitement of the festivities and the joys of the beach, his gaze turned towards the open sea.
The themed exhibition ‘Christian Dior : Memories of Childhood’ highlights the codes of the fashion house, whose origins lie in Granville and which were skilfully carried forward by the designers who succeeded him from 1957 onwards.
A unique temporary exhibition spanning the museum’s three floors, running from 4 April to 1 November 2026.
